Ensuring Subbies Get Paid: On Time, Every Time

Since the beginning of the year I have been working with the construction industry and subcontractors to ensure that subbies and their families can feel confident that they will get paid for the work that they do.

I have heard from subbies in our neighbourhood and across the state - something needs to be done.

Whether you're a brickie from Daisy Hill, a carpenter from Springwood or run your plumbing business out of Chatswood Hills, I’ve heard from many of you what a difference it would make if you could plan on being paid on time, in full, every time.

Our government is committed to making sure that businesses in our community have the confidence to hire and invest.

That’s why I’m taking the next significant step in ensuring that such confidence can exist in the construction industry.

We are currently working on the economic model that will sit behind our plan to ensure that subbies can, for the first time, be confident that they will get paid on time, in full, every time.
