Every parent in our community wants the best for our children. We all know that getting a good education is key to our children reaching their potential.

That’s why our government is working to ensure every child, regardless of their background, has access to the education they deserve. This year we have delivered upgrades at several local schools - renovations and new technology to make sure every child in our neighbourhood gets a quality education so they reach their full potential.

I am pleased to announce that one of our local schools will be getting a new lease of life. Over the last year I’ve worked with the Slacks Creek State School community to deliver a huge change for their school. From 2017 Daisy Hill State School will become a fresh option for local parents.

With a new name, upgrades to classrooms and facilities, a new, permanent principal, what was Slacks Creek will be Daisy Hill State School, ready for enrollment for 2017. Upgrades have also been delivered at schools across the community including Springwood and Shailer Park State High Schools.
