Chatswood Rd. Community Safety Survey

Chatswood Rd. Community Safety Survey Main Image

Residents are speaking up about growing safety concerns on Chatswood Road, and I want to make sure local road users have their say.

With the M1 upgrade between Daisy Hill and the Logan Motorway stuck in the slow lane, more traffic is spilling onto local roads. That includes Chatswood Road, where congestion, accidents and near misses are becoming a serious concern.

The planned M1 upgrade would address two heavily congested roundabouts near Chatswood Road, but delays by the Crisafulli LNP Government mean there is still no clear timeframe for when that work will be delivered.

That’s why I’m backing local residents Jayne, Kaylene and Mary, who are asking the community what can be done to make Chatswood Road safer in the meantime.

Their proposal includes reducing the speed limit along this stretch to 50km/h and providing a safer bus stop drop-off zone.

If you live nearby, drive along Chatswood Road, catch a bus in the area, walk or cycle locally, please take a few minutes to complete the survey.

Your feedback will help demonstrate the level of community concern and identify the safety improvements local residents want to see.
